All I had to do was hold out. Well I held on for as long as possible. Thankfully I held on just long enough. I finally got what I wanted. Fate lead me to where I am destined to be. God helped me find the path I was meant to travel.
I may not have always held true and kept my full confidence but he has shown his greatness and has blessed me with the ability to see that he truly does exist and he does have a plan that will lead each and everyone of us happy.
I have discovered today that his plan for me is truly one that can and will lead me to great happiness. He had shown me the path that is not only one that I have travelled before on the opposite side but a path that once before I have desired to take.

I’m so blessed to live the life I have lived and made the choices that I chose.

I’m think I’ve finally decided what I want to do. Thanks to the help from coaching volleyball and talking to many different people. I think I’ve decided to get my teaching certificate and become an english teacher or history of art teacher. I feel really passionate about and have the mentality to achieve it. Hopefully I can get a volleyball job to pair with it:)

Here’s to finally figuring things out on my 22nd birthday! It took me long enough but I’ve finally come to-what feels like- the right decision!!

I think I have to realize that I can’t be happy all the time but that doesn’t mean I have the right to be depressed either. I tjink I set my expectations way to high but I know that I can achieve them; ecen of that means ruining the few things I have in life right now.
Like my mom always said its better to have no friends than fake friends… so I guess in choosing no friends if she could do it for years while she raised all three of us, I can do it now. I just need to find something to occupy my mind is all.
But overall mark my words I will do something. It may be radical; it may be mundane but I will do something- that matters to me.

You’ll have to forgive me. I find myself increasingly out of touch with the new music “scene” sometimes, which is a huge part of why I love being a part of Soundboard. My friends give me a little sampling of the music rocking their lives every week which is very helpful since, I can try to keep up with new releases and album news, but at a certain point I have to say (as I’m sure I’ve said before on this blog), there are only so many hours in a day.

All of that makes what I’m about to say sound a little crazy but… I often hold off on listening to the music that I hear people raving about. Alt-J is one of those artists who’s tracks I’ve seen on my dashboard too many times to count… and not one of those times have I ever pressed play. Or at least not until last week. The result: another of my album download’y, repeat all’y music marathons of new music.

So here’s a bit of advice… just press play. The next audio post you see on your dashboard, just press it. If you don’t like what you hear, you can just stop it, but you’ll never know unless you listen.

I never knew coaching could be this tough. I’ve never thought that someone who claims they love a sport could care less about the game and improving at every chance they get. You’d think if you wanted to play college ball you’d flip that attitude to what can I do to get to that stage. What can I improve on to make sure I get noticed by recruiters. By your freshman year of high school you have to know that you want to play for the next 7 yrs. Its like the Olympics. If you’re not sure you want to do then you probably won’t do it but if you do you’ll train till your body physically can’t take anymore and still push on. Its a marathon not a sprint. You must train for the beginning sprint and end sprint yet still hold pace for the middle 22 miles. It just makes me cringe to see someone be so laissez faire about a sport I love and will always be a proud participant and viewer of especially when they announced they toi have the same passion as I have for the game.
